Cannon Subaru Tire Center

Cannon Subaru Tire Center

At Cannon Subaru, we know our way around tires, especially when it comes to pairing your Subaru with the correct ones it was engineered to ride on. We know the correct size and type that's best suited for your vehicle. At our tire center, we offer all the major brands and we can also assist you with all-season, summer, performance, and snow/winter tire options.

Subaru recommends replacing all four tires at the same time on all-wheel-drive vehicles. Our factory trained technicians will mount and balance them properly, and are always ready to help solve any other tire-related issues.

You can view plenty of tire options for your Subaru by clicking the Shop for Tires button, so let's get you started.

The Importance of Good Tires

The area where your tires actually contact the road is very small, sometimes no bigger than the size of your hand. This makes it all the more important that they have a safe amount of tread life and are in good condition. Properly functioning tires are key for safety, performance and ride quality.

What's a four-wheel alignment?

Simply, a four-wheel alignment uses sophisticated lasers and sensors to determine the wheel angles of your Subaru. If the computer detects that they are out of alignment - according to specifications - our factory trained technicians make the proper adjustments to bring them back into alignment.

Having your car aligned - especially when you have new tires installed - will help promote tire longevity. Poor road conditions and daily driving can cause misalignment over time. If you've felt vibrations or your vehicle pulling to one side, a wheel alignment may correct those concerns.

Ever notice this light before?

TPMS Light

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Light

If the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light comes on and stays lit while you drive, it is warning you that low tire pressure has been detected in one or more of your tires (excluding the spare). Tire pressure can drop when the weather changes from hot to cold, but it will also decrease if you have an air leak. You can check the pressure yourself. Watch this video about checking the tire pressure on your Subaru.

Remember, a flashing tire light may mean there is a malfunction with the TPMS system or a damaged sensor. You can bring your Subaru to our service center if you have a concern, and we can take care of that light for you.

Different Types of Tires

Different times of the year call for different tires. As the seasons begin to change, it is important to make sure that you have the right tires for your car. At Cannon Subaru, we'll help you make sure your Subaru always has the best tires for the job. Here is a quick rundown of the different kinds of tires:

Winter Tires

Cold weather causes rubber to harden, and this can lead to tires not performing as well as they should. Even if the road is clear, summer tires get poor traction when it's cold out, and that can be dangerous. Winter tires are made of a special softer rubber that counteracts the cold, and gives you the regular traction that you're used to. However, while winter tires are great during the winter, they aren't so good in the summertime. The soft, flexible rubber is ideal in the cold, but in warm temperatures winter tires wear down much more quickly than summer tires do.

Summer Tires

Summer tires are made out of a harder rubber designed to work best in warm weather. Summer tires will give you the optimal performance during the warmer months. As long as it's warm out, summer tires give the best traction on both wet and dry roads.

All-Season Tires

Designed to perform adequately all year round, an all-season tire is the classic "jack of all trades, master of none." All-season tires won't harden as much as summer tires when it gets cold out; however, they won't perform as well as well as winter tires. They won't quickly wear down turning the summer either, but they won't perform as well as summer tires. If tires are like shoes for your car, all-season tires all like sneakers; you can wear them almost anywhere, but there are better shoes for different occasions, such as on the beach or in the snow.
